That's How They Make Their Money

So, today I realized that not only do I have a book from the library that is WAY overdue, I have a stack of them. So I returned them and apologized, and paid my dues, and made a remark like, "I bet you make a lot of money for overdue books, huh." and the lady replied "well, that's how we stay in business".

It makes sense. It just SUCKS that you have to pay fines for overdue books. And doesn't it just irritate you how sometimes the Fines are MORE than the book itself!?
UGH!

Anyways, right now I'm reading "Homer's Odyssey" by Gwen Cooper. It's quite a good book actually and it's about the author and how she adopts a third cat that is blind. It's a very cute book. I recommend it. (:
